Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SeeStudio AI ("SeeStudio", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit or use our website, Seedance 2.0 AI video generation tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a) Information you provide. Account details such as name, email address, profile image and country when you sign up with Google, and billing information you submit when purchasing a subscription (processed by Stripe).
b) Content you upload or generate. Text prompts, reference images, videos, audio clips and any outputs generated from them.
c) Technical information. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages visited, timestamps and crash logs.
d) Cookies and similar technologies. Session cookies to keep you logged in, preference cookies (language, UI state) and analytics cookies to measure usage.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate, maintain and improve the Service.
- Generate the videos, images and other outputs you request through Seedance 2.0.
- Authenticate you, process payments, manage subscriptions and issue receipts.
- Communicate service updates, security notices and (if you opt in) marketing content.
- Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use your prompts, uploads or generated content to train our own generative AI models.
3. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your data on the following legal bases: (i) performance of a contract with you; (ii) our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service; (iii) your consent, where required (e.g. non-essential cookies and marketing emails); and (iv) compliance with legal obligations.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Model providers (e.g. ByteDance for Seedance 2.0) to process the generation request you submit.
- Infrastructure and storage providers such as Cloudflare R2 and our hosting vendor to deliver the Service.
- Payment processors such as Stripe to handle subscriptions and refunds.
- Authentication providers such as Google OAuth when you sign in.
- Analytics and email providers under appropriate data-processing agreements.
- Authorities when required by law, court order or to protect rights, safety and property.
If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred, subject to this Privacy Policy.
5. International Transfers
The Service is global. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Generated videos and prompts are retained until you delete them or close your account. Backup copies may persist for a limited time after deletion.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate data; delete your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these rights from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, isolated storage buckets and logging — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your account credentials confidential.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the Service and optional cookies for analytics and preference storage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the Service.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as a banner or email). Your continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at [email protected].
